Directed by David Cronenberg and starring Julianne Moore, Mia Wasikowska, Robert Pattinson, John Cusack.

Those who can’t remember the past are condemned to repeat it – but perhaps in Hollywood, those who can are doomed to remake it. Maps to the Stars is a grotesque ghost story about the selective memory of the movies… the way yesterday’s famous faces remain frozen on celluloid forever, young, pure and perfect, while their descendants, in a vain attempt to join them, can go tumbling into madness and irrelevance. The script was written by the novelist Bruce Wagner, and is based on his own experiences driving a limousine in Beverly Hills in the 70’s. Robert Pattinson plays the Wagner stand-in, a wannabe writer/actor who spends his days behind a steering wheel, and is the unruffled eye of this particular storm.

Julianne Moore won Best Actress at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival.
